Our approach

Short answer

A good legal relationship starts with a clear question, an honest assessment and an agreed scope. This page explains how an enquiry becomes a consultation, and the principles the firm applies to corporate and commercial work.

Updated

From enquiry to advice

  1. Your enquiry. Tell us briefly what you need, in Arabic or English. Please describe the matter in general terms and do not send confidential documents at this stage.
  2. Conflict check. Before discussing details, Al-Fahal Law Firm checks that it can act for you without a conflict of interest.
  3. Consultation. You speak with a lawyer — at the office in Jeddah or by video — who gives you an initial view of your position and options.
  4. Scope and fees in writing. If you decide to instruct the firm, you receive the scope of work and fees in writing before work begins.
  5. The work. You have a named contact and regular updates.

Principles

Answer the question that matters. Clients want to know what they should do, not a summary of every rule. Advice ends with a recommendation and its risks.

Separate law from best practice. Particularly in governance, the firm tells boards which requirements are binding and which are recommended.

Prevent before you litigate. Most commercial disputes start with a document that could have been clearer. Contracts, articles and shareholder agreements are drafted with that in mind.

Arabic and English. Documents are prepared in Arabic, with English versions where clients need them, and the two are checked against each other.

Confidentiality. Information you share for a consultation is handled confidentially by the firm in line with its professional obligations. Do not send sensitive material through the website form; the firm will tell you how to share documents securely once it has confirmed it can act.
